This is fourth in a series of images I've done for my university project.
This scene is taken from 'Tithe' by Holly Black.
Kaye has been captured by the Unseelie court to be their sacrifice in order for them to stay in control of the smaller creatures and keep peace between the two courts. Roiben, under the command of his queen has taken Kaye to get measured up for he sacrificial dress.
This scene shows the moment the skillywidden measures Kaye up with her long arms in order to measure up and Kaye looks around mystified and confused.
Media: Liner pen, Copic Sketch Markers, Ink on watercolour paper.
The colours on the background are awesome, love it. The composition flows well and the colours are balanced throughout the image. Love the Skillywiddens design
No reason to be hesitant... i read the synopsis and almost put off getting it for a week. (I know I would have gotten it any way, the obsessive in me would demand it!) and I absolutely love it. I giggled most of the way through and when i finished the book i was hugging it and not letting it go.
I DO really like it, but i probubly like tithe a slight bit better. (only slight) and that's cause it's been my favorite book for 5(?) years running.
It's very much worth the read. *goes back to snuggling the book, it hasn't left my possesion since I bought it Thursday.*

When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.

Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
I can't believe so many artists dedicate their efforts and time to create authentic works of art for us to USE freely! In the world of 3D stocks [ most of it unknown to the photomanipulators ] you can find truly inspiring fantasy and surreal elements that could never be captured by a regular camera. And the best part is that most of them come in a transparent background, so we can simply click and drag onto our work. How fun, fast and easy is that?
A former volunteer with the Artist Relations team, `kuschelirmel has always been a wonderful role model within the community.
With a vibrant and eclectic gallery that would make anyone proud, her dedication to providing informative and easy to follow tutorials, journal CSS, and inspirational stock is clearly long overdue for recognition.

You've read Ironside? Is it good? I'm hesitant to get it.
